Air Purifiers Using Ionic UV Plasma, How Does It Works?

Our air purifier uses the electrostatic precipitation technology to trap airborne allergens and particles. This technology has been used to reduce particulate emissions in many industrial applications for many years. Electrostatic precipitators have been designed to collect particles with diameters as small as 0.1 micron and the collection efficiency is considered very high.

Zone 1 : UV Germicidal Protection

Our silent UV Air cleaner features a Philips Ultraviolet Germicidal Sterilamp® to help kill airborne bacteria, mold and viruses that enter the unit by destroying the DNA of micro-organisms.

Zone 2 : Electrostatic precipitation (Plasma technology)

Airborne particles enter the Ionic Air Purifier containing sets of electrodes in the form of parallel plates on the stainless steel collection grid. The plates serve as grounded electrodes that act as particle collectors.

Discharge electrodes, within but insulated electrically from the rest of the unit, are charged with high direct current. Our proprietary electrical circuit design produces direct current in which the current flows in one direction. (Your house uses alternating current in which the current moves back and forth.) The electrical charge ionizes (charges) the suspended particles; causing them to move toward the collecting electrodes the way cat hair is attracted to a sweater.
